##What
Hey all, we’re excited to have a set of two developer workshops focused on our Kafka Connectors. These sessions will be hands-on and you can follow along as Solace Developer Advocate (and Kafka n00b) Aaron Lee shows you how to install, configure, and run the Solace PubSub+ Kafka Source and Sink Connectors, bridging the two very different pub/sub worlds of Kafka and Solace. Aaron will be joined by Solace Technologist Heinz Schaffner, the Connectors’ author for guidance and deep-dive knowledge. Together they will demonstrate the capabilities of the Connectors by bridging dynamic topics and multi-protocol MQTT, REST, WebSocket, and JMS applications into Kafka stream processors.


##Session Prerequisites:

  1. Install and perform Kafka quickstart: Apache Kafka or https://docs.confluent.io/current/quickstart.html;
  2. Have access to Solace broker: https://solace.com/products/event-broker/cloud/ or https://solace.com/products/event-broker/software/getting-started/
