How Standard 100 Connections Broker can upgrade to 250 Connections Broker?

I am currently using a broker with a 100 connections standard. If I find that this capacity is insufficient in the future, how can I upgrade to a 250 connections broker? What is the process for scaling up from 100 connections to 250 connections, and are there any potential limitations or downtime I should be aware of during the upgrade?

Hi @swapnil_mahajan - is the broker you want to upgrade a software broker or running in Solace Cloud?

    Hey @swapnil_mahajan,

Please see Upgrading Event Broker Services in PubSub+ Cloud for more info, but the TL;DR of the upgrade process is:

    1. Schedule an upgrade slot using Calendly (link in that page). You can do this at any time for existing event broker services.
    2. Solace will perform the upgrade during the scheduled slot.
      1. For Public Region and Dedicated Region deployments, you don't need to be present during the upgrade.
      2. For Customer-Controlled Regions, someone from your organization needs to be available.
    3. Duration  - The upgrade process typically takes 15-30 minutes.
    4.  Potential Limitations and Downtime:
      1. For High-Availability (HA) event broker services:
        1. The upgrade is an in-service upgrade with minimal impact.
        2. There's a brief interruption of less than one minute during the HA activity failover.
      2. For Developer and Standalone services:
        1. The upgrade is service-affecting.
        2. Client applications will experience an outage of 15-30 minutes.

    Hope that helps!
